Why?

Why are there so many people who seem intent on making life difficult for others? I found out yesterday that one such person had emptied my bank account. It really knocked me for six and sent me in to meltdown as though it wasn't much money, it was all I had. Thankfully the bank have been really good, their fraud department is on it and my money will be refunded I've just got to wait till all my new card and numbers are sorted before I will be able to use it. I am always so careful and hardly go anywhere so no idea how they got my details but the bank said it's amazing how these people do find out stuff, and they can it for a year or more sometimes before they use it, it's even happened to some of the bank staff themselves. I guess I'm lucky that I noticed it so quick, the bank said that these fraudsters often rely on the fact that people don't keep an up to date check on their accounts, so please everyone, make sure you do and lets not let these malicious people win. I'm trying not to be paranoid now about where I shop but have to admit my already fragile faith in some of the human race has taken another knock, I just cling to the hope that there are more good folks than bad out there.
